Professional Summary

As Director of Technical Services, I am responsible for overseeing all IT and technology aspects for the Saunders College at RIT. This includes managing the Technical Support staff, working with the Dean’s office to provide strategic plans and budgets, developing and revising IT policies and procedures, maintaining end user and server infrastructures, application development, and more.

We implement several ITIL practices to allow for continual process improvement. Some of these practices include change management, incident management, service operations, and deployment management.

Our primary focus is to provide high level technology support to our stakeholders. This includes, but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and perspective students. Our mission is to ensure that our stockholders have the resources they need.

We work with our stakeholders to research new technologies to see what advances and/or changes can be made to continually improve their experience with the technologies we provide.

I also serve as an Adjunct Professor within the MIS, Marketing & Digital Business department for the Saunders College at RIT. I bring my experiences in as the Director of Technical Services to the classroom to share with students how the material they learn in the classroom applies to the real world.

With a focus on teaching programming, I show students how writing code is only a small portion of how to develop software. A proper needs assessment and an arcuate scope of work are critical to the development of a successful software solution. I’m able to show how my experiences of both successes and failures can be attributed to those initial steps as well as to the continued communication with the stakeholders.
